School Counseling
East Knox County Elementary School offers a wide variety of counseling services that follow the American School Counseling Association's national model.

Patricia Lutu-Mayes
Ms. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Tennessee. She brings 15 years of experience in education, with 14 of those years proudly serving within Knox County Schools.
Ms. Patricia actively partners with community organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank, local churches, and sponsors to provide holiday assistance and support for families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her outreach efforts reflect her deep compassion and commitment to student and family well-being.
She supports the mission of Knox County Schools by delivering a comprehensive school counseling program that fosters student growth in academic, career, and personal/social development. Through engaging classroom lessons, small group sessions, and individual counseling, Ms. Patricia works to ensure that all students are supported at the school level.
Known for her kind heart, honesty, and down-to-earth nature, Ms. Patricia is always willing to listen and help. She consistently strives to improve the lives of those around her and create a positive, supportive environment for students and families alike.
